VO2 Max: The Staggering Difference Between Average and Great

Imagine showing up for your annual physical and the only thing your doctor checks is your VO2 max.

That, and maybe your skin ‘cause you’re an outdoorsy type.

As radical as that sounds, that’s exactly what Mayo Clinic physician-researcher, Dr. Mike Joyner suggested in a recent podcast.

Why?

Because nothing is more predictive of how long we’ll live than our VO2 max.

And for a lot of us, that number is as close as the watch on our wrists.

As a cyclist, I’ll bet your VO2 max is at least average.

But the difference between average and the top 25% is enormous in terms of the benefits. Get yourself into the top 2.5% for your age and gender (totally doable, btw) and you’re 5 times less likely to die… of anything.

As you’ll see in our brand new video... There are no drugs that exist today that will afford you that kind of protection.

In it, I tap the experts to find out...

  • Why people with a high VO2 max live longer

  • What your VO2 max should be right now

  • What’s a solid VO2 max to aim for in your early 80s

  • How to make sure your data is actually correct

  • The easiest way to increase your VO2 max (without injuring yourself)

So give it a watch and let me know what you think in the comments.
